Drawing Tops and The Decked Project Video

Thought this was neat. Carly, could your dad make me a spinning top like this? Just an idea I thought I’d throw out, possibly for fundraising? Not sure if anyone else en-masse would share my fascination with this simple toy, but if not the video of ‘the decked project’ video would tickle the fancies for those with bonners for hand-crafted-ness. Plus painting those tops would knock my socks off.

    papa caplette does not have a lathe unfortunately, there for fashioning that magnificent idea may be difficult…. unless we commission the work of some skilled beavers. Though I do love me some wood work I also fear the lathe a wee bit. I feel like if we do some auctioning mid term-ish I would love to paint or carve some decks up! I have some wood carving tools I used for lyno-cutting that can do double duty. I like this alot! Has any one noticed how men working with tools makes you want you want to do the “grown up” with them? No? Just me? fine.
